It's been a while, but I finally have a new jam up.

Look! I have a new drum machine. The Boss DR3. It's quite a powerful little machine. You can even program basslines on it!

Also new to you guys is the Boss ME-50, a guitar multi-effects unit. It's borrowed from my cousin who plays guitar. I use it for delay and reverb in this video.

When I started working on this jam I wanted some kind of hip-hop style. Something really catchy. I really like what came out. As for my performance in the jam, so-so. Messed up the ending a tad.

Hope you enjoy!

  • Hey Im thinking of picking up a dr-3 drum machine. whats your experience with it?

What kind of outs does it have?

Have you had any latency problems?

    Trevor

  • I haven't used it all too much, but it's a very powerful and featured machine.

It's got stereo RCA outs (L and R), and 2 1/4" TRS outs, which can either be used as L and R, or just mono on the R, or headphones (single stereo jack) on the L.

    No latency problems at all.

I'd definitely recommend it if you want a solid and feature-filled drum machine.

  • I like your stuff dude : )

i gotta agree with one of the other guys on here about the drum machine sounding a little too "stock" but I can see through that.

    loverly jams

  • Thanks!

  • Nice shirt. That one lead reminds me a lot of Squarepusher. I found your page through your sister's youtube videos. She used one of your songs. Do you have a soundcloud by chance? I make some music as well my friend. I use my Roland GAIA SH-01 with Renoise and Garageband. Check some of my tracks out if you get a chance! /colindesu on soundcloud
