Yes, it is Takayuki Mikami, now teaching in New Orleans, as he has for many years. He and Kanazawa Sensei fought the final match in the very first JKA Nationals. That's a pretty amazing performance of a difficult kata on rough ground.

Thanks for posting that. It's Takiuki Mikami from an old, early 60s JKA video, if I remember right. I still have the original 8mm black and white films somewhere, which I had transferred to video about 15 years ago.
