  • The GS is a 270 degree crank. Early GS500's were spec'd at 52 HP. A good air filter, rejet, and pipe can get one up to around 57 HP. Drop a tooth on the front sprocket and a slight timing advance and you have a fun bike with a lot of old school character.

  • the 360 degree engine is sweet @ the pipe BUT not HALF as angry as that one there is a side car vid on here with a rephased motor that sounds AWESOME!

  • that would be .....WRONG ! i road raced against the GS 500 @ 39 HP and my yamaha XS650 punched out to 750 @ 70 HP they were just a post to go around, even though it was 100 lbs heavier mine was 365 lbs wet

  • Sounds good, but 180 degrees is how a vertical twin should be, like the GS 500, which is smaller but will outrun this bike because it's 100 lbs lighter.

  • wow!

  • sounds like a xs500 xs400 or xs250 blah

I much prefer the even firing of 180 degrees apart as per real 360 degree twins

  • Do I want one? Oh Yeah!

  • sweet bike bro, cant live without my xs650 chop.

  • COOL, Other than altering the way it sounds...( And it does sound good :) Do You have any notable performance gains or low end "grunt" by doing this, Or is it just for fun???

Which is O.K. too. LOL cool vid.

    Later, John

  • SWEET !!!
