@ratnik44 I think this is pretty pointless. You understand Katowice conurbation, I understand it and anyone who wants to understand it can also understand it. Unlike a non name for it which you seem to propose.

@alanheath London, Moscow, they are the main cities for their agglomerations. Katowice isn't a main city for the conurbation it belongs to.

It is not nonsense. It is perfectly understandable for anyone who wants to understand.
The same as the Ruhr conurbation, Moscow conurbation, Tyneside conurbation, Los Angeles conurbation or London conurbation is perfectly understandable.

@alanheath generally yes, i know. However you have called the conurbation with the name of one of many cities and it is contrary. Conurbation means the equality of its cities. The name "Katowice" means the one city is main.

The conurbation - it means that there is no dominant city. So you make mistake calling it with the name of one of the cities: "Katowice Conurbation". It is just a nonsense.
