Ocean Wave Energy Sea trial FP7 CORES Galway 2011 - HMRC

This video shows the design, development and sea trials of the succesful EU Framework 7 funded project CORES - New Components for Ocean Renewable Energy Systems. This project was coordinated by the Hydraulics and Maritime Research Centre in Cork and had 13 Partners from 7 EU countries, all of whom contributed to the final sucessful outcome. Within the partners was a unique mix of Industry and Academia. The culmination of the project was the integration of many new components and systems onto a wave energy device followed by a 3 month sea trial in Irelands 1/4 scale Galway Bay Wave Energy Test Site. the system generated power autonomously and was monitored and controlled by remote wireless link.
