Saline Flush (Graphic!)

Due to battery related technical difficulties, we weren't able to show giving the oral baytril.

The evening cleaning of Gremlin's back wound begins with a thorough saline flush.

As you can see, all three wounds are connected. When salt water is flushed down one, it geysers out the other two.

It's an ugly wound in a bad possition. He can't reach to clean it with his hands, feet, or tongue. As you can see, his efforts to scratch as it heals have opened up a criss cross pattern of tiny scratches at the end of his reach that can only be seen well when he's wet.

@coolpear25 He healed completely, but this vid was taken over a year ago. He passed away January of this year from unrelated causes.

@coolpear25 Yeah. He was a doll for me through out the procedure. I hated that he'd gotten hurt, but he healed well.

Yep. All he has left is a scar and a dot. I only had to flush him for a week after that vid was taken.

Thank God, too! I only use a flush if there is no safe way to reach the wound to clean it.
