Spyro Gyra - Morning Dance

Spyro Gyra is an American jazz fusion band originally formed in the mid-1970s in Buffalo, New York, USA. With over 25 albums released and 10 million copies sold, they are among the most prolific as well as commercially successful groups of the scene. Among their most successful hit singles are "Shaker Song" and "Morning Dance", which received significant play on popular music radio stations, and are still frequently heard nearly 30 years later on jazz and easy listening stations.

With the exception of alto saxophonist, songwriter & founding bandleader Jay Beckenstein and keyboardist Tom Schuman, the personnel has changed somewhat over time as well as between the studio and the live stage.

You bet :) One of my favorite bands as well... and saw them about 5 times in Seattle... their music is always live, sparks with rithm and melody and the sound is superb. I also agree with your statement of these "humble gentlemen". it is always a pleasure to meet, talk to and listen to.. :)

to Quantanthead .. there are 2 original members of spyro gyra left.. Tom Schuman, and Jay Beckenstein.. they periodically rebuild around those two.. now they have a GREAT band.. see them often.. check out my vids.. i think Scott Ambush, bass, joined them in '92.. julio fernandez on guitar.. and Bonnie B.. a stylish & flamboyant drummer that is great, and they all are humble gentlemen, they have made great friends with my kids.. i've been a fan of thiers since the 80's.. now my kids are..
