@ladyjane1324 That's not all, people would say stuff like, "I bet America's a lot more different than your country, over here we have so much money", assume I didn't speak English, this girl wanted to study overseas but didn't know whether to choose Canada or England since "they're the only countries in which people speak English". That's not to say there weren't better educated Americans I met, but some of the assumptions were really entertaining to say the least XD

This is so true! Coming from a foreigner who'd lived in the US for a bit. I mentioned finland had the best educational system and these group of people were like, "really? You mean it's not the US?" and someone went, "where's Finland?"I kid you not.
