WMATA's MetroRail entering the Union Station stop on the red line. Because of the sad condition of America's rail system, random requirements have been made to hinder train travel and encourage more people into their cars.

As this was taken shortly after the Fort Totten Metro crash, all trains now stop when the front of the train reaches the end of the platform (this caught me off guard from when I was last in DC). That coupled with the new shorter train requirement made me have a hike toward the end of the video. Also, there were track closures on the red line at the time.

  • They had them stopping in the tunnels, too? *rolls eyes*

  • Hehe! I was in DC like right after you were, except it was during rush hour when I rode it. The trains would stop in the tunnels, and it was just really weird.
