This clip was filmed from an Australian Control Tower when a fully loaded Russian Ilyushin-76 almost buried it's nose into the ground at the end of the runway during takeoff... This unbelievable takeoff was filmed bij an unknown Ozzy Air Traffic Controller...

When I was a kid I lived by UMKK. It's very small airport but it was enough to make fall in love with sky. I'm not a pilot but I like Microsoft Flight Simulator to fly my favourite Tu-154M (Project Tupolev) maybe you've heard about it.

@shtirlic76tube Hi there ! :-) Yes, I used to work at Schiphol. Don't worry, Mriya is still flying around the world, at least she was until mid '10 when I saw her at Schiphol. I saw her in the original (Russian) coloursettings: snowwhite with red stripings. Afterwards she's been repainted in the Ukranian colours, That is a very costly job, I don't think they would do such a thing with a plane that was to be decomissioned...

An-225 is very impressive aircraft. It is so huge I even can't imagine how it flies.

But fuel consumption is too big and unfortunatly there is no job for this beautiful steal bird. The only task this craft was invented for is to carry spaceshuttle"Buran" but no "Buran" anymore :(.

@shtirlic76tube FANTASTIC ! :-) No, it's definitely not obvious, I would never have guessed it, your English is too good ! The fact that you obviously know the ins and outs of Russian Aircraft says nothing: my all-time favourite aircraft is the Antonov AN225 ("Mriya" / "Мрія"), to me she's the most impressive and beautiful plane in the skies... I even like her in the new Ukranien colorsettings... I saw her at Schiphol Amsterdam Airport and man, did THAT "thing" make an impression...! :-)
