Weezer aren't selling out! Watch their interview from Reading 2010. Rivers clearly says that they aren't sell outs! Also, to all Pinkerton haters-you guys would probably moan about it if they didn't make an album like Pinkerton! And to everyone else, in the course of nearly 20 years and different life changing events, Weezer had to change at some point.
Btw, to any Scott Shriner haters out there: FUCK OFF!!

If it's selling out I would do it. I can hardly pay my bills, and i hardly make money playing music. Selling out is a good thing. They can take care of their families and play music. Saw weezer in Houston TX back in 2005 i think. great show!

Sold out!?! Their first seven albums were on a major label. Bands on major labels are surrounded by a marketing team just so they can "sell out"! It's not like they started out as some unknown indie band that gave up all their cred overnight to become rock stars....
