This pulsar lies near the centre of the Vela supernova remnant, which is the debris of the explosion of a massive star about 10,000 years ago. The pulsar is the collapsed core of this star, rotating with a period of 89 milliseconds or about 11 times a second.

  • Where's the Drop!! THERE NEEDS TO BE A DROP.

    All the love to astrophysics.

  • хочется верить, что всё это не так

  • and your point is?

  • big deal the quran says theres a type of star that makes a knocking sound, mentions universe is expanding , blackholes ect

  • the only reason it makes this noise is because there is a lot of stellar gas where a star much larger was, pulsars release high energy jets and the star spins up to 100 times a second resulting in a helicopter like sound pending on the speed of rotation.

  • is that real?

  • This is typical music in an alien disco .I know because i've dance with them somewhere near saturn.

  • Awesome .. that's so damn dangerous.

  • wtf
