-
Daaaaamn!
-
@AlinsieventualCalin They can do it.
-
lets forget the performances for a second, u one of very few pilots that have performed this manouver, and the feeling of vertigo from changing directions(s)
thats gotta be one of the best feelings in the world for pilots.
reminds me of the pilots that 1st performed "the loop" "the barrel roll".
kick ass video anyway.

amazing thing that plane can do, Super.

bare in mind the mig 29 is older than the f22
-
very cool :)

F-22's only have 2d thrust vectoring, they have more thrust to weight and a more refined OVT control than the mig, The mig-29 has full 3d thrust vectoring with the trademark heavy tail, all Soviet fighters are built with this concept in mind, the reason for there extended high angle of attacks is due to the tail being much heavier than the rest of the aircraft, boys we don't get compressor stall anymore and the mig has air intakes above the wing+ the normal intakes its the vents on top
-
the f-22 can do this too,but its harder because of the intakes arent construced for such maneuvres,and its heavier,that means other than the mig,it cant turn very fast when its already vertically.The mig is designed for this(and many other )maneuvres.
I never saw F-22 do this maneuver.

....not really. The engines in the Mig29 are made to have the ability to reduce compressor stall. And also, they have zents over the engine bays that open up to allow ore airflow to the engines at high angles of attack. The reason it nose dives is because he is applying full power to the engines to carry it into the next loop, and uses TCV to flip the plane once more. The F22 canot follow through like that *the powerloop is more like a slow moving kulbit*
