When knitting a cabled scarf, there are a couple of important elements to include, which are the edgings and the sides. Knit a cabled scarf so that the cable stands out as the most prominent part of the scarf with help from a knitting instructor in this free video on knitting a cabled scarf.

  • Thank you for making it simple!!

  • Thank you so much. Yours was the best video I have seen.Appreciate you. :)

  • @darlean12 Hi, when you knit cable, the stitches on right side is k, and on the wrong side is p. The first and the end stitches are k on two side. The stitches between cable stitches and the first stitches (or the end stitches) are p on right side, k on wrong side, so that the cable stitches will emerge.

  • Easy! Thanks

  • Oh thank you for this video... I love it

  • @BlueZephyr16 it does because it will change the way it looks

  • I am a very new knitter. I want to make this scarf. In the video, at one point you say k over k and p over p in the middle. At another point you say knit on the right side and purl on the wrong side. I know you are referring the two stitches on either side of the cable. Could you please clear up my confusion.

  • putting cable needle in front or back will determine which way the cable turns.

  • @BlueZephyr16 no it doesn't matter, the point is to get the stitches safely off and on the needle after knitting some of the other stitches. :) Hope this helps
