Angelo Bartlett "Bart" Giamatti recites his own poignant piece, later published in the collected works "From A Great and Glorious Game: Baseball Writings of A. Bartlett Giamatti"
@TheSeattlehawk94 I also heard this the first time at that world series. I had recorded that game, and transcribed it from the screen. I have it hung up on the wall in my hall. I see it each day. And I too, read it when the season ends. This poem i hope will be read at my funeral when I die (as long time from now, i hope)
@ces1drums It is the best discription of the game and what baseball really means..
