Hey guys.
There is nothing wrong with the stuff this lady is showing. Pwang Gai Noon /Uechi Ryu not a lot of difference. Its hard core. That hard core some of you guys posting couldnt even manage 20 seconds of maki wari training.
The body is conditioned including the fingers
So butt out with the jokes

what is sansai?? do you mean sensei?
-
No, mawashi zuki is seiken as a roundhouse to the temple - the fourth hojo-undo *does* use hiraken

First off, not all katas are meant to be examples of selfdefence, they teach breathing movment and technique. Second, the hands, fingers and toes are conditioned with sand stone and boards to make them hard as rock. Therefore one with training would not break bones.

I imagine the knife edge of your hand would break, too, if you weren't practicing regularly, but you still see plenty of people breaking boards and bricks, so there is no lack of repetition being done. Fingertip strikes are not to be done by the unpracticed, and even then not for several years.

My sensai says this, im not sure if this came from Kanei Uechi sensai but he says this saying... "It should hurt them when you hit them and when they hit you." Concluding that you basically condition the entire body.

Similar sayings and stories that reflect this by Funikoshi, the man who brought karate from Okinawa to Japan.

Foot stays planted, hips rotate for power, and you follow through into the attacker (although you do pull back when demonstrating kihon and hojo-undo).
