@skiwhh Several things can be the culprit. First is the CIS fuel pressures. Second is vacuum leaks (such as cracked air box). Third thing is mixture can be too lean. In my case, I had issues with poor spark. Replaced plugs, plug wires, rotor, and cap. Also adjusted the valves and installed new valve cover gaskets. Idle mixture can also be off. It is important to follow good troubleshooting procedure or you can spend a lot of money unnecessarily swapping parts.
I am currently working on a 1985 911 with the exact symptoms as yours. Could you say what went wrong or what you replaced? I have checked every sensor and switch on the engine but it still wont idle good during cold starts.
@egsilverstone Sorry, but I can't help you with an '85. '83 was the last year of the CIS fuel systems and Porsche switched to a completely different system for '84-'89 model years. I suggest you go to the forums at Pelican Parts dot com and post a description of the problem you're having. You will find many people willing to help you out!
How did you fix this?
