  • Its better to use it on the stable clock, 3.0GHz.. Cuz if u use it higher, the higher voltage require and coz it always too hot.. Not suitable for daily use..

  • I have @ 5000+BE @ 3.2ghz 1.4vcore. I wouldnt try to push the AMD's past 50c but whatever works. It prolly loads around 50. I never push my vcore past 1.5v on air unless quick suicide runs

  • hey leduchoan, you are correct. 3.2ghz with 5000+ BE typically requires a voltage of around ~1.40v. But with 3.0ghz, stock voltage is reported to be stable. Some motherboards adjust CPU voltage based on CPU loads. I have seen my CPU Voltage spiking up to 1.52v under high CPU activity, even though the voltage is set at 1.40v in the bios. My 5000+ BE is stable up to 3.4ghz at 1.5v in the bios. But I am running it at a more conservative 3.2ghz @ 1.4v.

  • I don't believe that we can have 5000+ BE reach to 3.2Ghz without additional voltages. I managed to have the processor work at 3.45Ghz with the maximun voltages (1.56v). AMD 5000+ BE allow you to increase multiplier, however increasing multiplier will require more voltages than increasing Reference Clock speed (which u said FSB was incorrect, AMD processors do not have FSB)

  • I have this same CPU non Black Edition though

what is a safe temp for this CPU at 3.0 GHz?

  • i got the normal one and it dousent effect my pci at all and with my bios i can change every thing on the cpu the whole lot is ulocked check my overclocking video out so u can see me doing it thanks

  • my Black edition clocked up to 3.5GHZ without fail. a non black edition cant even reach that high. And once u play with its FSB, ur crossfire or SLI wont be able to function.. Trust me on this.. ive done some experiment with these 2 chips. A BE and a non BE.. 1 more thing.. Black edition 5000+ has a difrent stepping than a non BE.. The 5000+ be has the latest stepping
