Speak Now - A Jemi Story Ep.16 {Forgiven}

DEMIS POV:
The entire day, every time I thought of Joe, I immediately got mad. Is this how it's always gonna be? If it is, we might as well break up now. The day went by very slowly and before I knew it, the finale bell rung and I started to walk home. Alone. I passed Joe's house and decided I should drop by to see if he was home and to check on Maddison. The door was locked so I rang the doorbell and waited a few seconds. The door slowly opened and it revealed Joe. "Hi." He greeted. He looked upset. "I was just gonna check up on Maddison but your home so..." He nodded. "Okay." He's acting really weird. "Are you okay, Joe?" He sighed. "I was a jerk to you, Demi. I'm so sorry." He seemed pretty sincere. "Joe, you left to ditch school. Is ditching school more important than me?" "No! Of course not!" "Then why did you do it?" He looked down and shrugged. "Well, figure it out." I turned around and walked to my house. My dad was cooking something. It smelt like dinner. He probably had to work late. I sat my bag down on my couch and went up to my room. I didn't plan on staying mad at Joe forever. I just don't want him to think that he can do this all the time and get away with it. And it DID hurt me. It made me feel like I did when he and his friends bullied me. Not important. Useless. He doesn't even know that. I layed down on my bed and saw Joe's jacket still on the back of my chair. After contemplating for a few seconds, I decided I should give it back to him and tell him that he's forgiven. I got off of my bed, grabbed the jacket, and made my way down the stairs. "I'm gonna go give Joe his jacket." I heard my dad sigh heavily. "He's still proving himself." I walked out of the house and over to Joe's. I rang the doorbell and once again, waited. The door opened and Joe stood in front of me. He looked hopeful. "You forgot your jacket at my house." I saw the hope drift away from him. I smiled and lightly kissed him. "Your forgiven." He smiled and hugged me. "Thank you." I giggled and after a few seconds, he pulled back. "Keep it. You'll need it when I'm not there." I knew he was teasing but I smiled and nodded. "Okay."
