A Windows Media/Winamp plugin to display the lyrics of songs you're listening to.

It can be downloaded from: http://www.lyricsplugin.com/
or from http://lyrics-plugin-for-windows-media-player.en.softonic.com/

Addendum: to delete the plugin, simply go to the plugin folder of Windows Media Player (in Program Files) and manually delete the .dll file. I have tried this and it's safe to do so.

  • somewhy i cant download it.. the link is just a blank screen. i cant find it anywhere, and all the other plugins suck, so ill be very happy if you could send it to me via email :)

  • @HoulMello I have added an additional link which should enable you to download the plugin. You'll find the link in the video description.

  • do the lyrics transfer to ur iphone, or whatever device add your songs to?

  • @digitaldevilghost No, as fas as I am aware this will only work on a PC as the program acts as a plugin for Media Player and Winamp

  • Everytime I change the color from the default, it doesn't get saved. Every time I play a new song, it gets reverted back to the default color. How do I fix this please!!!!

  • @SOAB1024 You have to remember that the lyrics are downloaded from the internet and they are provided by other users, so they will always use the original font and colour as the original on the central database.

  • @cresun OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! IT WORKED FOR ME!!!!!

To all the others who are having the same problem as I am, where changes you made ( font, color) are not saving. Go to Internet Explorer, set the security level to low, and press custom and accept all cookies. Then your settings will be saved.

    Thanks again!

  • @sandipkc7 if you still experience problems with Lyrics Plugin for Windows Media Player, try a fresh install by first uninstalling it, launching WMP without the plugin, close the player, and reinstall the latest version of the plugin (which at the time being seems to only be available from Softpedia)

if you have the plugin Windows Media Player Plus! installed, i recommend you get rid of this before you reinstall Lyrics Plugin, as it caused a permanent error with the latter for me...

  • @RottenUniverse this recently happened to me as well, same set up as you, too, and

it turns out the problem was caused by another plugin named Windows Media Player Plus!, supposedly after a crash or a terminated session...

i did, however, get lyricsplugin to work again, after get'n rid of Plus!, uninstalling the plugin, and then reinstalling the 0.4 beta...

  • @cresun thaaaanks!

  • @HoulMello you can download v 0.4 beta from Softpedia

  • @SOAB1024 i believe the settings might be saved to a cookie, as in a web browser information file

seeing the plugin is related to Internet Explorer, you ought to make sure that the browser accepts cookies and don't delete them before they expire...

  • @storebror21 sorry to say, but this not the case : the plugin's configuration option is for customization of its appearance per user, where as the lyrics are downloaded as mere text, presented in the style the user has defined

the plugin is related to Internet Explorer, so i believe the settings must be saved to a cookie...

  • edit option...Y U NO WORK AT ALL!?...most of my songs show up without lyrics i try to get the lyrics in some site edit save changes but it just says "oh u want lyrics for this song? well i dont know it so fuck u" DDD:
