  • wow, this awesome, maybe I wil get that in the future.

  • I can't even afford a regular car ROFL.

Don't get me wrong, not that you think I'm someone that sees a wheelchair sign on a car and thinks "let's park as close to it as possible" ;-). AnywayI love my car that much, that I always look for the most lonely parking space available :-D.

When someone parks next to you, to make access to you car harder, scratch that car!

I just think that this system isn't the best choice for a city environment, because you will 1. not get the space needed and 2. cause damage to other cars.

  • @missdalski Personally depending on what type of vehicle you will be driving, your injury level, and the type of chair you have will make the difference as to what you will need. I have a folding rigid frame wheelchair (Invacare A-4) that I have no problems dismantling picking up and placing into the passenger or back seat of my 1998 Grand Prix GT. I've been doing that now since 1998 and won't EVER go with a different type of chair until I'm old and gray.

  • @infinitiondubs same here.. I could have done the same as you as well as gone into a store and come back out again with a soda and be in the process of breaking my chair back down again by the time everything was said and done.

  • @schubidubap the idiot owner of the car the parks to close to him. I don't know how many times I've gone to the grocery store and parked in a handicap parking spot only to have a moron park their car so close to mine that I wasn't able to get into my car. If you can see that someone has a parking permit for a disablity then you need to the time to park correctly. Not park so close to other people's cars. I lost count of the number of cars I've scratched/dented. Besides this was just a demo.

  • And who pays the scratches that this thing can cause to the cars nearby?

  • lol, could you imagine this machine malfunctioning in the middle of interstate traffic!

  • It's good for someone who has to rely on that to put their chair in the vehicle...But takes too long...I could've got into my car, put my chair in the backseat and gotten back out in that time.

  • technology at its best
