  • The Guys Name is something else its slips my toung right now but it got cross winds that go two different directions - Charles

  • I doubt this is the case, but the groups were acting in a way to suggest your barrel was heating up real fast. Also, how much does the humidity fluctuate where you store your powder? This could lead to uneven burning when fired if the humidity gets too high. Good luck on your next batch; I know the pain of making not-so-good hand loads :)

  • @mlrllama Thanks for the info - Charles

  • Depending on the spin rate of your barrel you might look at loading a lighter bullet.

  • @golfdashin1 Thanks for the info my barrel is a 1:8 twist ratio I got some Remington UMC 115 on backorder from Midwestusa but they push the order now to Mar 31 from Feb 15 so i will be a while before I get them

  • @Duckyistrippin me either, it just occurred to me! lol i fly helicopters in the house {dont tell the wife} so i have developed a S.O.P. for eliminating any air currents. Just remember the dillion plastic cover has a ground strap built in. So if you use the bowl method touch the counter with your off hand while grabbing the bowl with the other. this will make sure any static in the bowl goes to the ground and not to your powder :) or just reload barefoot...lol

  • you shooting at ben avery's? i always have loose groups when i shoot there :(

  • @Thats a Great Ideal I never thought of That Thanks - Charles

  • @crcooktube thats why the dillon scale has a plastic shield. to stop air currents from changing the reading. You can just put a clear tupperware bowl over the entire scale when weighing powder.

  • @hpmacmurray Thanks for the info I have a scale that has a .1 Grain readout I use The little yellow scopes to put the powder into the little bowl on the scale. I take the bowl off and put it back on the scale twice to make sure it reads the same both times . I actually

have to make sure me a/c does not come on becaues it changes the reading - Charles
