Rupe Conference on Media Ownership: Media Access

Participants in the Rupe Conference on Media Ownership dealt with several topics related to the conference theme. In the third session, Leah Lievrouw, Professor in the Department of Information Studies, Graduate School of Education and Information Studies at UCLA, gave a talk entitled: "Online Oppositional Media" while Constance Penley, Professor of Film and Co-Director of the Center for Film, Television and New Media at UC Santa Barbara, dealt with the issue of: "Implications of Media Ownership for Editors and Journalists."
