@Bosingr How the hell is this cheating?
Just like a push press is a modification of a shoulder press, allowing you to do more weight, a kipping pull up is a modification of a strict pull up, allowing you to do more reps. You can take it further with butterfly pull ups, just as you can take the press further to a push jerk. Each step up allows you to do more reps/weight.

@Bosingr - Explain how. Is it your opinion that there is only 1 way to do pullups? Are gymnasts cheating when they kip? Could there be absolutely NO usefulness, health or fitness in this move? Would there NEVER be a time or place for this type of pullup? Interested in your answers to these. Thank you.
