A large rain storm on 6 January, 2553 (2010), causing flooding in the Huai Khwang district of Bangkok. This was the third rain in a week; clear signs of climate change.

  • Climate change? Only people with dust in their brains think it's man made. Intelligent people know it's normal, it's in the tropics u dip, it fuckin rains all the time.

  • @bunchafives2008 It's funny how the people who've lived in Bangkok 40+ years certainly didn't think it was normal. The tropics has 3 distinct seasons, during one of which it does not rain, especially not like this. However if I see a video of snow in New York during August I'll be sure to remind them that New York is temperate therefor snow is normal. I'll also let the scientists at Lamont-Doherty and Texas A&M know they have powder in their heads. I'm sure they'd be fascinated to hear that.

  • It has nearly every year so don't panic. Instead build barriers or sandbag the front of your house maybe 1.5 meters high. Go to it Amigos. Pronto!

  • @jethromayham Everyone who has lived here 40 or 50 years said they NEVER saw rain like that in January before. Only a week before this storm someone was adamant 100% that it would not rain when the skies were looking cloudy.

  • OH MY GOD IT'S RAINING SLIGHTLY OUT OF SEASON! MUST BE CLIMATE CHANGE!

    Deary me.

  • i love rainy days especially in BKK... but make it longer please at least 10 mins!

  • Super video. Thanks. But: "clear signs of climate change."

I doubt this is the proof. If heavy rain in fx. Thailand is proof of climate changes, then the climate has changed many time in the last 10 years.

  • It rained twice in Bangkok, December 2010, which very unusual. it caused flooding in some areas as well. For your note, I love rain during dry season as it keeps grass green and freshens air.

  • We call these "mango rains" and they usually hit just for a day or two around Christmas-Newyear time but otherwise it's mainly dry Nov-May especially up north.
