Actually Bill did work for Mac, Steve gave him a bunch of Macs before they were released so he can "develop" them for Apple, Steve realized what Bill was actually doing when Windows got released.

I recommend you all watch Pirates of Silicone Valley, it gives an unbiased look on both Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Apple and Microsoft in the early years. Including stealing tech and such. It's a good film.
