  • Pilots decided to sacrifice their life to crash the jet in woods, not in the buildings. That's why they didn't "press the eject button". If they would eject then the plane would crash in buildings and cause more casaulties. True heroes.

  • Taka tragedia nie powinna nigdy się wydarzyć na tym airshow. Kondolencje dla rodzin pilotów.

Такая трагедия никогда не должно происходить на этом авиашоу. Соболезнования семьям летчиков.

Such a tragedy should never happen at this airshow. Condolences to the families of the pilots.

Eine solche Tragödie soll niemals passieren, in diesem Airshow. Mitgefühl mit den Angehörigen der Piloten.

  • kudos to the pilots.

  • Alien Greys Shoot The Plane!

  • ja na tym bylem... straszne :\

  • What has my comment got to do with emergency power or backup systems? Of course I know these exist. My point is that a plane that when a plane crashed because it is out of control, e.g. because it is in a stall condition, then the pilots cannot somehow "steer" the plane away from houses/spectators. If they could then the plane would still be under control and would not crash in the first place. Backup/emergency systems have nothing to do with this.

  • You have shown a complete lack of knowledge of aircraft systems. Every aircraft I have worked on, both military fast jet and civil airleiner, has had an emergency power system of some sort. Usually though, on a fast jet, and even the Apaches I work on now, this emergency power only provides for a limited number of control inputs. Once those inputs have been used, then yes, the crew have no control.
