This piece is based upon the ground bass pattern "Romanesca" which is the same used in the English Renaissance for "Greensleeves". Interesting to compare what a Spanish Baroque composer does with the same basic material!

  • @nwitron1 It's like a modern guitar without the bottom e string: e, bb, gg, dD, aa (unison strings on the b and g, octave on the D, re-entrant tuning one octave up for the aa)
