Paracord Fusion Ties - Volume 1: http://www.amazon.com/Paracord-Fusion... The brainchild of Philip Slattery, "Slatt's Rescue Belt" is a clever application of a standard crochet. More popularly seen expanded and used as the means to create a rope doormat or scarf, the rescue belt is a slick way to create a shoulder strap, which can easily be undone to allow use of the rope that created it. Video by JD of Tying It All Together (TIAT).

Awesome video thanks. I was wondering how you would tie in additional buckle or somesort of joining mech? I would love to use this knot to make a rifl sling, just wondering how to tie in the ends. Thanks again.

My dilemma is that I want to attach a buckle to the belt but still have a true "rescue" belt. My main criteria is that I need to be able to strip all of the line out in a single pull if necessary. I'm thinking that the best option might just be a round buckle that would hide the slant, or a slanted bar on the buckle... If anyone's interested in trading techniques, I have a very slick technique for a boatswains lanyard I use for work ID's.

I have been trying for hours, can't seem to tighten it up, I like this knot since you don't need to cut any cord til the end . Thanks for posting this

Can you tell me what kind of rope this is? Mine came out a bit differently using 550 paracord.

I started mine using paracord and a 1" buckle, it isnt big enough by the time its woven its too thick. Use a 1 1/4 size buckle

Tie the end to the buckle wrap it around your empty buckle 4 times loosely. Use a J crochet hook you can get tighter loops Slide the hook into all the loops across grab the long end wrap it around your hook and pull it through all 4 loops remove hook. Now holding your loop that you just pulled out the end stick your hook into each space where he uses his fingers to pull it through pull up a loop hold it, do all the loops this way. Put hook through all loops, wrap, pull thru Keep repeating
