Funny how 100's of players use steroids.... But are still jus "average" players. Steroids doesnt mean you'll be the best, it only increases muscles.... Also funny how most body builders, are horrible athletes

@xReelzHD Yes, i said steroids have a performance enhancing effect (strength, size etc) my point was that they don't give you the timing or hand eye coordination to hit a major league pitch. I'm not saying without steroids he would have broken the record, my point was simply that he still has the natural ability to hit a major league pitcher, doing so consistently and well.. don't argue just for the sake of arguing.

@TheGdawg21 yea and so would Babe Ruth if he wasnt a drunk. Bonds also had almost 1500 MORE at bats than Ruth. Bonds is a cheater plain and simple, quickest at bat huh? he was using PERFORMANCE ENHANCING drugs. Sorry, his name should have an asterisk next to it. Even though any time his name is brought up, so are steroids. and as to "natural ability" Bo Jackson>Bonds. Have a happy day

steroids or not, this guy had possibly the quickest bat and best eye in Major League history. he was already a Hall of Famer and a lock for 500 homers and 500 steals before he began using in 1999. He had arguably more natural ability than any player in his era. If he had used PEDs his entire career he would have shattered every hitting record and raised the bar to the point that his records were unbreakable. He would have easily hit 1000 homers.

Steroids don't give you the timing or the hand eye coordination to hit a major league pitcher. Regardless of performance enhancers his natural ability is far superior to most who have ever played the game.
