  • Put some motor run caps across the output and you should get even higher voltages, if you do make sure they have a suitable voltage rating or the will short out.

  • Once a load on it i bet it would lock right up... this is easy to do. You could produce 1000v and once you hook an LED to it have it shut right down....

  • What kind of amps do you get out of it??

  • dude! what if your test leads touched...

  • thanks for showing video.please run something off the generator and show us how good it will power something like a fan or bunch of lights.we dont have access to this type of motor here.i wish we did.love to experiment with it.

    thanks again clackdwack

  • what kind of motor is this?..i need one for my lowspeed windmill project.

  • this (synchronous) motors are often used for generating electicity with low spinning speed like hydro plants (pancake model). With some modifications, i think you have a generator for, by example, a windmill! like it! i'm almost sorry for my self i live in the netherlands were we don't have that kind washing machine motors ;) good luck with it!

  • Try driving it with a small engine or large AC motor :D

    The results are very impressive!

  • not bad dude but whats its volts/amps when under load ?also rpm i got a complete system that will work on bigger scale for a car or house to charge batterys to feed a big inverter if u can get ac from the start theres no need for an inverter n batterys soo next project iam converting a ac motor to ac generator useing magnets placed in rotor 110 220 at hi watage is all u realy need unless comercial use if u like give me a yell iam about
