  • who's Sally?

  • @GoMidoriIsCool Sally Hemmings, Jefferson's Slave and eventual lover.

  • He wore a wig in his early career (which this video covers), and we sought to use the known costumes of the times.

I do thank all of your for watching this video and wish you well over this holiday.

  • "T. Jeff" LOL!

  • @cjbatesii Randolph Jefferson is the possible "culprit." Though I agree that most historians have jumped the gun on proclaiming him "guilty" of fathering all of Sally Hemings children, there is enough evidence to suspect him as a possible father to Eston Hemings. It will never be proven obviously. However Jefferson was a complex man with many contradictions. His greatness is sure, but so are his flaws. A moderate approach is best as opposed to deifying vs. condemnation.

  • great video, very funny. The only problem is that the declaration was done on July 2nd. it went through two days of changes before it was actually distributed.

  • @PrussianSunsets Pure Propaganda...The supposed final word of the DNA only proved that someone in his family is the questionable character, and I have heard letters from the time pointing more strongly to, if I remember correctly, a younger brother...Despite the convulsive need to revise history that is rampant in academia, some people (Jefferson included) are deserving of the greatness accorded them by their posterity.

  • Thumbs up for the Sharpie quill.

  • This was really quite funny! Thank you very much!

  • Indeed it has been the best revolution ever!

  • @PrussianSunsets

She was a toddler in 1776. This fact makes the video 10 times as funny.

  • LOL god that's funny! :) lol

  • @PrussianSunsets that was never proven.
