I've been looking for awesome alternative metal bands, and so far I've been through Tool to A Perfect Circle. But now I'm here and I have to say that my Journey is over.

My brother commited suicide. When I was going through his computer to find music for his memorial, I recalled him telling me about this band, and how much he liked it. So I opened the Ashes Divide folder, and just randomly chose a song. This was it.

@johnnyKillmore I went on a trip to DC, which from where I live is a 3 day bus ride. This song was my lullaby. One of the best experiences of my life is standing in the middle of Arlington Cemetery with this song turned up all the way and just basking in the heaviness of the situation. I swear came home from that trip with a better understanding of what makes life so important.

@jbyrd5th this isn't about god i hope you know?

they are simply both very talented you cant argue that this guy is the reason a perfect circle even exists

I really wish people would stop comparing Billy to Maynard. Just because Maynard and Billy were in the same band doesnt mean that he is living in MAynards shadow. He has his own unique style, very different from Maynard. Maynard is the shit, but Billy is an entirely different being.

Add Billy Howerdel to the list of people whose voice I sorely wish I had.

I was on a 4 day road trip on my motorcycle and I had my MP3 player on repeat. I kept advancing to the next song till I got to this one... I listened to it for 3-days, 6-10 hours in the saddle. I didn't get sick of it until I was within 100mi of home, and I chose the sound of the wind as it's replacement, not another song. This song followed me from sun to rain to snow, to the coast and to the mountains and back. Wow.
