@KaizerHiwatari Don't say that about Atsuko. She may not be mother of the year, but she truley loves Yusuke, and wants him to have a better life than she did. For some time after Yusuke's revival she was terrified he'd go to slee and never wake up again. She had to pull a lot of strings to get Yusuke back in school, and in the manga continued to support him during the Dark Tournament and Chapter Black sagas.

I always think of Yusuke's funeral at this part. Just watching Atsuko (his mom), Kuwabara, Keiko and the very few people who cried over him, do so, just did me in. Not to mention that boy, when he talked about Yusuke getting his ball and how the others were sad because they didnt get to play with him too was just so touching :(!
