A video created as a small project for my Earth Science class. The assignment was to create something showing that you understand the concepts of the chapter, and I chose to create a video. The video describes the four spheres that make up our planet: The Geosphere, the Hydrosphere, the Atmosphere, and the Biosphere. It also goes in to detail about Wether or not Earth is an open or a closed system, and the four basic layers that make up our planet. Plus a little bit about the magnetic field.

  • so wrong....

Geosphere? Dont you mean Lithosphere? You forgot to mention the Cryosphere which, yes, could be considered part of the hydrosphere but I do beleive sceintists like to put it in its own category nowadays. The bit on the magnetic field is very wrong. If it went away RIGHT NOW, nothing would happen to us. The atmosphere is our primary defence against solar radiation. The magnetic field does provide some protection but no worries if its gone. Sorry dude. Do research before posting.

  • @venium The project was only meant the cover the information in the two sections we had read about, nothing more :P

  • booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mine is way better on the 5 sheres not 4 but 5.

  • its a fail becuase you forgot many spheres like the cryosphere and geosphere don't you mean lithosphere

  • forgot to mention the bit on systems. First of all, theoretically all systems are OPEN, there will always be a minute amount of matter or energy leaving and coming. However, for the purpose of generalizations, all energy flow systems are open, all matter flow system are either closed or opened. But looking as earth as a whole. Energy flow = open. Matter flow = Closed.
