Only starting from hard saves now because of the issues found with starting from savestates. Don't worry, the stars we missed out on will be recovered later on. Actually backtracking will be happening pretty soon - I dunno where Course 15 actually is and I only have two other new course to go to sooooo yeah!

(I'm guessing Course 15 is up past the 65-star thing, but don't tell me!)

So this place is cool. Largest level so far, with some neat gimmicks and an excellent set of SMG references. There are a ton of blue coins in the level though, making the 100-coin star a pretty easy one to get. I kinda got it on the way without TOO much deviation from my intended path, so...

Apologies for the length though, I kinda got a bit engrossed in actual playing and forgot that I was meant to be making a thing with a semi-finite length. I was really having fun in this place though, so I think I can be forgiven considering it (in my eyes at the very least) stayed entertaining throughout!

Side note: I now have my desktop, just haven't got all the parts fully set up yet. I got live movie maker down on it though, this part took 8 minutes to save using it :D. That's more than 5x faster than my laptop, so if I can get all my wanted programs running on it I will be able to really speed up the editing process. When I get my main monitor up and running (right now we haven't got the right end on a DVI cable) I will be able to record super-high quality 1600x1200 videos, which should definitely be a step up from the already good quality of just now! I'm struggling to get to grips with Touhou on an external screen though... part of it right now is because the screen I am using, although the same resolution as my laptop's, is actually widescreen, and I can't cope well with that. But we'll see how it goes with my other monitor eventually.

  • That course actually looks like a lot of fun. The platforming seemed challenging, but not unfair, while being asthetically pleasing. Are you still having fun? You seem to get frustrated more than half the time.

And I don't remember if I voted on the ASMT yet, but I suggest you find a game that nobody else has done.

  • @AGrayPhantom: Whilst it may not sound like it all the time, I don't TOO often fail to have fun during these things. I do get annoyed at myself for missing stuff I know I shouldn't, and I don't like having large amounts of off-screen backtracking during LP's for one stupid mistake (who does?), but I really enjoyed this level a lot. I just tend to be very vocal in videos regarding these issues, and I beat myself up a lot more than I should sometimes.

  • Cal, why WOULDN'T you want a cavalcade of failure? :p

  • @FearThePika1: Because neither horses nor cars deserve to be involved in such a traumatic experience. It's fine to make the people fail, but let's have some respect for the transportation that would have to put up with such nonsense...

  • Also, are you a raocow fan? Cause you certainly seem to have picked up a lot of his verbal quirks.

  • @UnGato7: Whilst I do very much appreciate raocow and his style, I haven't exactly changed my real-life way of speaking/thinking (at least during video games) since I started watching him over 2 years ago. And when doing these things I pretty much say whatever I have on my mind at the time, so...

Basically, not directly, if that makes any sense?

  • This whole stage reminds me of the toy level from Chameleon Twist 2.

  • Wow, that Chain Chomp was scary! Just pixels separated the two of you at some points, not to mention the hitbox and how you got really lucky there.

Man, when he hit you in the beginning I was starting to wonder just how far he can reach (and why he can only do it in that one direction). That was really nerve racking when you were behind the house of cards and you tried to get out only to have the Chain Chomp *nearly* hit you there (I can't possibly fathom just *how* lucky you were at then)...

  • Welcome to my childhood. The only series I've played as a child was Mario...

  • -Mario flies over a endless pit of death with high speed-

    Hoehoe!! Hoehoe!! ... :I
