  • Great review.

But putting one's iPad in a pedal board is a stupid idea for many, many reasons. And the cost is ridiculous.

Just put better screens on current pedal boards. People are willing to pay a little more. Just make sure they are waterproof and have a protective grill of some sort.

  • A digitech rep let us know that there is no midi out of the USB jack. That doesn't mean it can't be implemented later but it's doubtful. It does happen. You don't have to send midi messages through midi jacks only.

  • If been following this new device since it's release and I can't believe all the negative comments related to the iPad requirement to run this thing. If you don't have an iPad, stop whining about needing one. Get something else. Have any of you even had the chance to LISTEN to this irl? I already use an iPad for many other things, and LOVE the way the interface looks so far. I will hopefully record a review once I get it and play with it.

  • Just remember not to stamp on the ipad :P

  • Great as always! Keep up the good work!

The reasons for not having an iPad get less and less with each SonicState video I watch :) I can imagine some punter spilling a beer on the iPad (or perhaps that speaks more to the type of clubs I play!) - some type of removable clear perspex window would solve this!

Balked a little at the price to be honest (but then I would have to add an iPad too!)... Pod HD bean looks like a viable alternative...

    Thanks Nick & Richard!!

  • What happens if you stomp on you $500.00 iPad my mistake? This is not a good idea if you ask me.

  • Nice review! My only complaint is that the video is not focused a lot of the time. I think it happens because you get too close to the screen of the iPad. Otherwise, great channel, I love it!
