Emil and Ratatosk finally agree with each other and with that Aqua is hatched creating the full seal and regaining all of Ratatosk's power.

Ratatosk decides to not destroy humanity but he can no longer use the seal as it was forced open by Richter.

Richter must now go with his original plan to use himself as the seal using his own mana.

Ratatosk decides to help him with it by rewriting some laws of the world by taking away all the Mana from the world and then turning it into a seal.

This would usually kill the world but Ratatosk will write another rule so that nothing needs to use mana to live.

The new world tree will keep flowing Mana and then it will continuously use the mana for the seal.

Another problem is that without Mana the world will eventually die in billions of years due to the protection given by the mana disappearing.

It's finally time for Ratatosk to seal even the door to this area so that nobody ever disturbs them. Nobody will enter or leave.

One by one they say kind words and walk out.

Get ready for your tears cause the end is Marta saying goodbye to Ratatosk and Emil...They will never see each other again. They promise to always be with each other in heart.

As Marta walks off she turns back.
"Emil, I'll always love you."

Emil turns back to Marta
"And I'll always love you too Marta."

-sniff- I-I'm not...crying really...I'M NOT!

  • Blitzmage? I dont understand what do you mean by Summon Spirits going away? They are in Phantasia, so that must mean that they dont go away. They will always live on.

"The End of His and Her Adventure" - The song that plays at the very scene with Marta & Emil saying goodbye. That scene always makes me cry, and thats not just because of the music ^^ *Show the Good Ending, to li our spirits again, you can't leave it like this ^^*

  • I'm pretty sure at 2:55 Ratatosk says that Summon Spirits are kept alive by Mana and since the Mana will disappear that means they won't exist anymore.

All the tales games exist in different worlds except the obvious sequals.

  • You got that wrong Blitz, Phantasia is a sequal "technically" its like 4'000 years after Symphonia. The summon spirits are exactly the same. Infact why are they the same in Eternia, because that is a different Universe... Anyways, Ratatosk didnt say Summon Spirits would dissapear, but he only said that mana would, and when Sheena asks "Summon Spirits too?" he says "No." I mean think about it, if he stated they would dissapear, I think Marta would panic!

  • hmm maybe but he is talking about the things that will no longer need Mana to live. Humans elves dwarfs etc and then Sheena asks about summon spirits and he says no summon spirits are kept alive by the presence of mana.

Oh but at the end he does say mana will flow freely around the world...I suppose that could be enough to keep them alive as prehaps the precence is still there...

  • So sad...I love this game...;o;

    So touching.

  • I cryed here so i will beat the game and get the good ending.

  • i love that one.. but seriously! =( why is it just emil who says 'i love you, too.' ? I mean, she talked with ratatosk all the time and ratatosk seemed realy in pain leaving her... and then it's JUST emil?! =(

  • NOOOO! it can't end like that! Dx

  • and thats wh i hate tos2, the only sad part in tos 1 was when kratos left, and they still need a game about what happens to kratos, i mean seriously, he'll never die.

  • *crying* me toooo *continues crying*

  • It's an old Norse word used to describe the void that supposedly existed between Niflheim and Muspelheim, respectively the lands of the ice and fire giants. I think something must have been lost throughout the years though, because you're right. It sounds a bit odd, Lol.

  • even though it was such a serious scene, i always laughed whenever someone would say "ginnungagap."

honestly, what kind of a word IS that?

i love the piano song that plays when everyone is leaving. that's why i watched this again. xD

  • *crys big buckets of anime tears* thats so sweet!!! Whaaaaa!!!

  • He didnt say that mana would disspear from the would completely, it just wouldnt need to be in all living things that comprize it. So there is still the presence of mana in the world. So that they can still live. Centurions need mana too you know, and so does Lord Ratatosk. They need to stay aliveto keep th Ginnungagap sealed.
