I absolutely love your honesty and sincerity. -- You are a beautiful person, both inside and out. -- And props to you for having the courage to be true to yourself. :)
The theatre I intern at did a one-woman original play called He/She & Me. -- It was a really beautiful production, and might be interesting for someone like yourself to check out.

Why exactly was Brian so grossed out at the end? Because he had sex with someone who is trans, or because he had sex with his enemies mom?
FG usually has some sort of positive moral at the end of political episodes, however this episode was full of offensive jokes. SP's episode was satire, and Mr. Garrison was just a gay man who didn't want to be gay, but FG's had no redeeming value.

I love Family Guy, but the producers suck at anything remotely political. They should go back to their comedy, and leave the politics and such to South Park.

yes i saw this and i wasn't happy either..

I watched this because I have been so upset by this episode of family guy. It is horrible and Seth Macfarlan actually said he thought this episode was the best and most sympathetic view of a trans person. Anyways what I wanted to say is Transamerica is good, but even that has a lot of problems, mostly that the main character largely plays a man playing a woman. But the actual trans people in the film are awesome.

i think there is a difference in making fun of something and finding humor in something..family guy makes fun of everything and everyone..that's just how family guy is...i am a comedian..i make fun of everything including trans issues cause if you can't make fun of yourself who can you make fun of? it's a just about making people laugh..of course this is just my opinion and i try not to be sensitive about issues in general pertaining to comedy

I can't find anything wrong with the Ida character. Are you saying that she is a big fucking joke or a scary monster?
She is really the only sympathetic character in the entire episode. If Ida's struggle for acceptance is an accurate depiction of what transsexuals go through, what's wrong with showing it?

Thank you so much for talking about this. I've been getting a lot of backlash from self-proclaimed "allies" for being upset about this episode.

Basically it comes down to one thing ... American society just doesn't get it. The majority of Americans have never met a transgendered or GenderQueer individual therefore most people rely on stereotypes. The phrase is, Ignorance is Bliss. It is up to us to kinda educate ... maybe.
Hi everyone, I did want to let everyone know that I am now no longer going to watch family guy. It is true, you cannot pick and choose, support something one minute then denounce it the next. Also, what i said in my video is personal opinion and how the episode made me feel and think. I still feel strongly about this, but I don't expect anyone to have to feel the way I do about it.
