  • My therapist was a big Star Wars fan....hence the music choice!

  • The PT is painful - I cried nearly every session at the beginning, but it all got better. On rainy days or with front moving in my elbow doesn't want to work either, but it warms up and is fine. Good luck and stay with the PT!

  • What an interesting concept - playing another sport that will force it to work. I like that!

  • This is awesome! Thanks so much Pam for sharing! I;m sure lots of us worry what PT will entail. I'd love to find out what exercises they made you do?

  • @hobbeshan I did all kinds of exercises. Painful when the PT guy started the manipulation but that is what got me where I am now. Totally worth all the pain. I think I showed most of them on the video.

  • How straight can you get your arm now?, did you do any damage to your to your olecranon?, are there any plans to get the metal out at any point ?.

  • @thrillseeker70 Straight is about 5% off or so. Bending is about 20% from full bend. No plans to remove the metal but I have been on crutches for a foot injury and that bothered my elbow. But, all is well. How about you.

  • Do you have a full bend? It must suck to break your elbow. I broke my tibia and lateral malleolus 2 years ago and now I'm 98% I have a full ROM.

  • i broke the same elbow ten years ago, but had to get 3 inches of titanium this time. glad you're doing better.

  • I flew head over handlebars on a lance armstrong roadbike and shattered two bones in my arm/elbow. I just got the cast off yesterday.. I can't move my wrist at all yet ;-(

  • I continue. I am doing alone some exercises and I see some progress. I would like to know what is the object that you are doing exercise with and that looks like hammer? As they removed one part of the radial head and no other materiel has been put, my problem is the prono-supination and this kind of object can be quite helpful. I hope u will answer me, thank you again

  • Hello Patty thank you for posting this video. I broke my elbow, the radial head more exactly and I'm doing the PT. I am very disappointed because every session is no longer than 20 min 3 times a week. During the sessions i have 10 min of electrodes and just a little moving of the elbow without pain. No progress so far. I asked to have more intense exercises even if it hurts but my PT says that I should never force and that the term "no pain no gain" is not good.

  • Thanks for posting this video. I fractured my olecranon (point of the elbow), I have a plate and 8 screws holding me together. I have about a 15 degree deflexion when I extend. I can stretch it out to zero but I lack the strength to stablize it at this point. I am confident that with time and excersise I can get it there.

  • so much john williams lol

  • Thanks for sharing this. I needed some encouragement since I've been doing PT (I started a bit late) and every time I exercise, it's painful, and I feel like I have something hard on my elbow. I wonder sometimes if I'm making progress because with each new day I wake up and my elbow needs warming up before I can even begin to move it. It's frustrating but I think I'll get better with PT and God's help.
