@GSG1298 not too sure about where you live, but they sure are a rare item around here. i know an old guy with an 1100 yosh a.m.a bike in his basement. i've only been there once, but it was a sight to behold. p.m. wheels, nissin g.p. brakes, the works. never even heard of him riding it though. n yeah, your right about the guys on liter bikes. guess you have plenty of them there, too. their everywhere here...

@jeffsbored13 I know it really annoys me when middle-aged, poor talent, overweight men buy 2011 superbikes to try and be fast. Whereas if they lost a few stone, learned how to ride and got a '99 R1, they would be equally as fast, probably faster! I think un-molested slabbie GSX-R's are rarer than hen's teeth nowadays anyway! same with the 1100.

@GSG1298 thanks. people think the newest, badest bike will make them faster. im no valentino or stoner, but i do ok on my slow ass superduke. but seriously, a guy on a nicely tuned slabside 750 gixxer can hang with anyone down a curvy road if he can ride, as most of the guys out there can't. besides, old bikes rule, new bikes all look n sound n act the same. not saying i wouldn't LOVE a new zx-10 or bmw 1000rr.....

my last track day i was on a borrowed r6 (02) which was a killer track bike. wish i could afford a bike for the track. anyhow, im not fast, mid pack usually. anyway, the guy that usually won that day was on an old cbr f4, and he won by a good margin against guys on new gixxers n r6s, not to mention a couple ducks (a 750 and a new 848). it was a learner day, but still, he had one of the 'slowest' bikes there, n he wiped our asses with it. hell, one guy i know still has an fzr4/6 n kix all ass...

whoever this guy is, between that and the rc30, he's the man. that rc is cooler than the oval piston bike, in my opinion. summer b4 last i just traded my 929 on a superduke n most of the guys i ride with have 600s, a gixxer 750 and a couple liters ( r1 and cbr1000-new one) and we were all murdering hw94 in the mo. ozarks. two guys came along, one on a zx7r that was tuned by muzzy and one on a rc. these old guys smoked our 'faster' bikes easy. its all rider. see it at track days all the time...
