How Stina got her Sparkle - A Modern Fairytale

Hooping has changed my life. It has added so much colour, music and SPARKLE! I have met incredible people, made amazing friends and had some unbelievable opportunities...all because of hooping! Do you need a special weighted hoop to hoop dance? Or does any old hoop work?

The kids hula hoops are too small and light weight. The ones most people use are made from heavier plastic tubing, often irrigation tubing or something similar. There are loads of sites that sell them and you can choose your own design in the UK, US, Aus, Japan etc. I would recommend a google search and then shopping around to find the right price/design for you. @stinasparkle What about "Hoopnotica" hoops? They are fairly heavy. Have you ever used them?

I have used the travel hoop, which is great for travelling and is slightly heavier than some of the others, but I haven't tried the normal hoops. I tend to make my own becuse it is cheaper to make multiples etc and I can experiement with size and thickness (which affects the weight).

actually thats almost the same as with me and pole =D cept .. pole is what kept be busy while he was in the sandbox =) it kept me sane and helped me through it ^^ and he too noticed my new "sparkle" as ud put it =) and has confessed it once drunk using swears about how fkng AMAZING it is for him to see me so happy ^^ <33 i loves it!! im happy to hear/see your story ^^ too bad its too late for me to vote for you~
