In and around Australia's Great Barrier Reef, researchers with the Census of Marine Life have discovered hundreds of new species.

  • The existence of humans favours some species and not others.

    I wonder what complete ecosystem could exist with minimum number of species. We humans would live in such world one day because we constantly expand and overtake wild life. Why do we need many species in same ecological niche? We need perhaps one or two to maintain the food chain and the ecosystem.
