I scoured the internet looking for this sound bite from KMET and finally found it when they did the reunion on 100.3 July 10th, 2009. This station is the soundtrack to my youth, my teens, my college years through my first Kid. As popular as it was I never understood why it went off the air. EVERYONE in LA listened to KMET. I think the Super Rich Right bought it because they wanted it gone in such a large market as Los Angeles. LONG LIVE THE MIGHTY MET!

  • That was my friends and I, on a lark we went to sing a couple acapella songs for Jeff Gonzer one day, just for fun, and after we did they hurried us to a back studio to record some promos. This was the one that stuck, we were very surprised to hear it every day for the next several years, or so it seemed! Part of radio history now.

  • I really missed KMET when it went away. I never understood why either. It was the greatest. Way better than KLOS! I loved KPPC too, that was broadcast from Pasadena.
