Roe vs Wade was decided during the term of a Republican president 7 to 2 by the Burger court, one of the most conservative courts in the late 20th century. Three of the justices that Nixon appointed voted for it.

I think what it comes down to though is when you think a soul is born. Some people believe a person has a soul coming into this world, others think it's automatically instilled when conceived. Very controversial topic, I find it quite funny how most Pro-Choicers are men.

And then the rational don't apply religious mumbo-jumbo concepts such as "souls" to deductive arguments regarding rights...

Of course you can think people have no souls, which ever way you prefer. Contrary to what you think, someone doesn't have to be religious to believe in souls. I never actually said I was against or for abortion, I just stated that it is a controversial topic, I'm sorry if I implied something and you took it the wrong way.

What is a soul if not a religious concept? I only said that it was irrelevant to the central issues, because it is.

I'm not religious but I believe people have souls. What is relevant? If one has no soul, the body is all there is. The human body is a mechanism to help us live. Therefore abortion should not be banned, because a person is just a machine. But many people equate soul with being individuality, and heart and all that lovely stuff. So you can look at it in either way, that's my opinion.

A "soul" is NOT a reason-based concept.

Many things in life are not reason-based. Anyways, this is pretty much a pointless "argument", so I'm going to go and have a life now, thank you.
