One day at a time !!!

Happy Easter ???
I've had so many people wishing me a 'Happy Easter' over the past couple of days... and each time someone did, I thought to myself... "That's crazy... a very beautiful man was put to an agonizing death... and I'm supposed to be happy ?"
Yes... I appreciate that the 'rejoicing' is mostly about his 'resurrection'... rather than his death... but that doesn't take away from the suffering he was forced to go through... or that we appear to have learnt so very little from the suffering he did endure !

I appreciate that people have their own individual beliefs in regard to Jesus Christ... and that many people choose to 'not believe at all'... but from my own personal perspective... it is 'his teachings of love' which I choose to focus on !

Loving one another... I often think to myself, what a beautiful world it would be, if our focus was on 'helping each other' rather than on helping ourselves...
Can you imagine it ?...
A world in which all inhabitants live for each other ?
If my focus is on 'helping myself'... I have only one person helping me... 'Myself' !
But if everybody focussed on 'helping each other'... I'd have nearly six billion people helping me !!!

"Love one another !"... What a beautiful message that is...
Here we are in a world in which there are more 'wars' now than in any other time in history... where 'bloodshed' is the order of the day... where in parts of the world, people are put to death, merely because of their love for someone of the same gender... a world in which millions of people (including beautiful precious children) are forced to endure an agonizing death through 'starvation'... a world in which our focus is on 'helping ourselves' rather than 'helping each other' !

Imagine a world, where the emphasis was on Peace, Love, Justice, Dignity... For all !
There would be no 'greed'... no 'poverty'... no 'war'... no 'racism'...
Loving each other... Helping each other... Caring about each other... 'Uniting' to ensure we can each live a dignified life... irrespective of what our individual beliefs may be !

We have a choice... We can remain on our current path of 'Violence and Bloodshed' (which I envisage will have catastrophic consequences)... or we can choose the path of 'Peace and Love for all' where our tolerance and respect of each other, enables us to live the life that God intended for us to live !

Jesus Christ was not about 'religion'... His message was one of 'love'... where as Children of God we recognise each other as brothers and sisters of the Family of Man !

I love you... irrespective of what our differences may be !
I respect your right to be different... and ask that you respect my right to be the person who I am !
I wish you 'love'... in a world in which we stand united against injustice and oppression !!!

One People... One World... United through Peace and Love...
Make it happen !!!
