Ok, first, Spike wouldn't have run at the start.

Second, to everyone saying the gun woulda dusted him, Different kinda vamps, blade uses silver bullets, silver wouldn't hurt a buffyverse vamp. And if you say 'wooden bullets' I'll jack-slap you.
