@bigjec I heard it's because of copyrights. UFC has to give a percentage of DVD sales to the owners of the songs. So as always it comes down to money.

An entrance song identifies your mood and attitude toward whats about to happen. THis songs vibe symbolizes how tranquil and focused BJ always is in any situation obviously. And him being Hawaiian wearing a Hawaiian Unity shirt coming out to Hawaiian language (which official name escapes me) definitely means something.
