I know what you mean, but this band has no A style and B style, only A style and that is Symphonic Metal.
And I don't want to reply anymore, I got tired, oh God...

Right, Haggard, great band :) But I don't mean vocals affect these genres. I mean generally if something has features (50% by 50%) of different styles you can call them both one and the second style band (for example style A and style B, and if you call this band style A you are right, but if you call it B you are right too). Do you know what do I mean?

vocals do not affect Progressive Metal and Symphonic Metal. that's why it is called progressive Metal, it varies, those bands can use clean vocals too, specially they are Progressive if they make longs songs with lots of drastic tempo, riff and melodic changes during entire song. Also if singer growls, but band has tons of orchestrations, operatic vocals(backing or something), keyboards it is Symphonic Metal. Listen to Haggard.

Maybe you are right. Maybe. But there's something you have to understand too. One band can perform some genres of music. It can be (just example, not real situation) progressive and death metal band at the same time. If it contains features of both styles, it can be called progressive or symphonic.

you will need 5 years more to listen hundreds of bands, so you can finally start to define sub-genres of bands in Heavy Metal music, it's not easy I know, but if it's not inside your blood you will never understand...

Yep yep, you can insult me, but the truth is the truth. I wanted to talk with you about the music, maybe you would convince me it's symphonic band. But everything you do is calling me "nerd" and "asshole". Well, believe or not, but there is a subgenre like gothic metal. And believe or not, but 5 years of studies taught me how to recognize music genres.
