good looking ole truck. Definately has a lot of potential.
-
where did you get your wiring harness? american auto wire?
i just dropped 1600 into the starter, wiring harness, and brakes.... so far its nothing but an oversized money bucket lol
-
I just did a full rewire on the whole truck so now i dont have that problem
-
I wish it still ran like that! the previous owner destroyed the wiring harness, so now i have shorts everywhere! plus the starter is now shot... this thing has an electrical grimlin in it!
-
dam it runs real nice unlike mine!

I had a 1952 Thriftmaster. had the script on the side of the hood.

@Nutintoitbut2doit its a 59', sure are, last spring i converted it to a 357 on a muncie 4 speed with granny box. blew the trans up 4 times, and shattered 3 rear ends. too much motor lol. as of right now, i do believe yours is in better shape. and thank you for reminding me to post another update :)

@norinclayanger Man I seen some of the videos with your trans in pieces ouch, did you figure out what happend? I think I will just get mine running first and leave the engine and stick for a year or two till I get some extra money lol. I started to primer the hood and I'm working my way back lol. Keep me posted on yours, if you get a chance check out mine I have a video on my youtube site.
Keep it cool.

@Nutintoitbut2doit sure did, my gearing was too low for the speeds i was going. 5:83 gears in the rear. 4.5 grand just doin 35 mph. givin my engine was pushin some serious power as well, the trans was not built to withstand that kind of abuse.thats smart, the only reason i switched out is the inliner i had took a dump on me, and it was cheaper to do a v8 conversion than rebuild the inliner. cool, on my way :)
